When North Sea oil and gas was discovered, it was heralded as the saviour of the British economy, providing us with income and energy security. It certainly change the lives of many people, especially those in and around Aberdeen.. One of the first was the giant Forties field. It began producing oil and gas in 1975. 25 years on (2000), this film was made to celebrate its impact on the community, a quarter of a decade of successful production and memories, and to show how its future was secure. Times have changed....!
