Dr Patel highlights the need to investigate the efficacy and toxicity profile of combined systemic immunotherapy using dual mechanisms of PD-1 and LAG-3 or PD-1 and CTLA-4 inhibitors, as well as potential adjuvants such as injectable therapies, oncolytic viruses, and immune agonists to improve response rates and bring more patients to a high response level.
