As we draw closer to the end of the letters, we come to a letter and a church where Jesus only gave a negative review about. Just like Jesus did with the Pharisees, Jesus calls out the church of Sardis for looking alive on the outside, but being dead on the inside. Not only that, but Jesus is letting them know that though they are dying spiritually, they still have a chance to wake up and repent. This is a chilling reminder for us as believers to remain committed to our spiritual health internally, as well as showing others that we follow Jesus by what we say and do. Next time, we will begin to wrap up the letters with the final two. See you then!
