Option Tuning Car Battle Spec-R is a Japanese PlayStation (PS1) racing game from 2000, known for its focus on tuning and customizing import cars, inspired by the Option magazine, offering deep customization options and featuring popular JDM vehicles like the Skyline GT-R for street racing and battle modes, providing a nostalgic experience for fans of retro tuner culture. The advantages of this game are that players can upgrade their race cars and compete against other racers, even boss races. It features licenses from famous custom car manufacturers, shows car damage, and mostly features famous JDM models. The opponents are real-life celebrities, the engine sounds are accurate to the car models, and the controls are realistic. However, the disadvantages are the limited number of cars, the ability to only customize the car color and wheels, the driving physics (which can cause spins if not driven well), the Japanese language for car upgrade items, the somewhat unrealistic graphics, the fact that most of the bot AI opponents are modified cars, the ability to upgrade only one car brand, and the game being too short. As for the car I use, I use a Nissan Skyline GTR R34 to replace the Honda NSX, which isn't in the game. The Nissan Skyline GTR is a JDM car, and it's my second favorite after the Honda NSX. I like the R34 because it has the newest Have MFD (Multi-Field Display) on the console among all the Skyline GTR. The Nissan Skyline GTR R34 is my favorite car in the game Option Car Tuning Battle Spac R.
