I'm not surprised the $200 Picatinny Rail Kit are obsolete after one production run because I truly believed it doesn't work but I do have an alternative. My 3 pin No drill Side Mount, it only cost $30 and 3 hrs of labour to make. Plus, it doesn't need a torque screwdriver, no rail cant and the zero isn't disturbed when cleaning the FCG. I tried my mount on another rifle serial number 1600 apart and it fits. Of course a test on two rifles doesn't mean consistent uniformity but it's a good start to further research. It can with LMG if you swap the pins and selector between them. You can't swap the side bar because the location of the stock cross pins are different, that's why I suggest you make two side bars. When installing my side bar. Begin with hammer pin, loosely tighten then tighten the two stock cross screws (needs to be loctite). Finally, tighten the hammer pin again, don't use loctite and no need for torque screwdriver. Eventually, I'd to eliminate the ramp on the $8 side plate by cutting it out so when the rail is mounted it will match the back stop of the rail.
