In this video we are going to make a super cool and cheap Pumpkin Minion that you could either decorate in your house or display outside! We made this little guy with a cheap foam pumpkin (we bought on sale from Hobby Lobby) Hanger wire, tape, newsprint, paper mache paste, paper clay and paint. It's a very simple process. We use the foam pumpkin as the body/face of our minion and then make leggs and arms from hanger wire and paper mache. We make extra details from paper clay like teeth, gum line, and enhancements around the eyes. Once all the clay is done we cover the pumpkin and legs with toilet paper and mache paste to create some cool textures. After that to add more details by taking jute twine soaked in paper mache paste and wrapping it around the arms and legs to create a cool viny texture. After all that dries, be base it in black dry brush the entire thin in white, then add all our colors. The pumpkin starts of with a dirty orange, made my mixing brown and orange together. That color gets painted over the entire pumpkin, then another later gets put on leaving the slighest space in the valleys of the pumpkin. This process gets repeated with brighter colors of orange until we are happy with the highlights! Legs and arms are painted with a dark brown then dry brushed with a lighter brown to make all the texture pop. then all the vines are painted in a green color. The teeth are painted white then dirtied down with some yellow, the tips of the teeth are then hit with straight white again followed up with the base of the teeth being hit with a wash of brown.
