This is a short video of the AV-8B Harrier II + testing VTOL and transitions at MCAS Cherry Point. Live weather is on, calm winds fortunately as wind does affect the custom VTOL model we have built for this aircraft. Transitions are now smoother, due to my correct use of nozzle positions during the move to conventional flight. The Harrier responds much as the real airplane does across the flight envelope ( reference is the real AV-8B Pilot's Manual ) and is almost ready for its testing phase with a former USMC FA-18C and AV-8B +Harrier pilot. With correct training and practice, this aircraft is controllable, but it is not an easy aircraft to fly ( same as the real Harrier ) and will require effort on the part of the user to master VSTOL operations.
