The New Wood longbow arrived today, unboxing it & the cedar wood arrows, shooting it, and sharing my thoughts, longbow vs. recurve bow. It’s an incredible & beautiful longbow and cedar arrows!    / catholichackstraditionalarchery   LBHunter has lent me one of his longbows and it has just arrived. This is a 66” tip to tip 58# at 28” longbow by New Wood in Wisconsin. This longbow is really beautiful with a babinga wood riser and leather wrap. It has been a really longtime since I have shot a longbow so I was surprised at the differences between the recurves I am used to shooting and this longbow. In this video I unbox it, shoot it and discuss the feel of it and the differences between the recurve and longbow.
