Frankenstein by Mary Shelley chapter 20, narrated by Isaac Birchall One night, nearing the end of his work, Victor starts to think about what will actually happen once he finishes. He wonders if the new creature will want to seclude itself, surly the creature wont want to accept a deal that was made before it was, or that the two creatures would have children, a “Race of devils on earth.” While mulling this over, Victor sees his first creature in the window, grinning at him. In a hatred for the creature, he made and astonished at the ugliness of it and his new creation, he destroys his progress. The Monster, angered at Victor for breaking his promise, vows revenge and leaves, promising Victor that he will be with him on his wedding night. The next night victor receives a letter from henry, claiming that he is tired of Scotland, and he suggests that they leave Scotland, and continue they journey. Before leaving, Victor packs his supplies, and gathers the remains of the second creature. Then, late in the night, Victor rows into the ocean, and dups the remains into the sea, sleeping in the rocking vessel. When he wakes, he finds that the winds won’t take him back to shore and panicking he wonders about dying at sea if blown too far into the Atlantic. The winds soon change however, and he arrives near a town on the Scottish mainland. When he lands, a group of townspeople greet him angrily telling him that he is suspect in a murder case after they found a body the previous evening.
