2020 Lincoln Navigator Overview The 2020 Lincoln Navigator ranks near the top of the luxury large SUV class. It has a roomy, opulent interior and provides lots of cargo space. A punchy engine and serene ride further cement its lofty status. Lincoln gives the Navigator lineup improved standard features and updated packages for this year. Every model now has standard adaptive dampers, power-operated running boards, heated and ventilated front seats, automatic high-beams, the latest Sync infotainment software, and the owner's smartphone now can be used as a key. All but the base models now have illuminated power running boards. The paint-color palette drops Ingot Silver, Ruby Red, and White Platinum in favor of Pristine White, Red Carpet, and Silver Radiance. Exterior The massive SUV blends sleek, sharp character lines with big statement pieces like the huge grille, bright LED headlights, and full-width taillight design. Black Label models turn up the drama with turbine-style wheels and unique interior touches. Standard is the Co-Pilot360 suite of safety features, which comes with blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, forward automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, and automatic high-beam headlights. Engine The sole engine available in this Lincoln is a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 that makes 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. It comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The V6 engine makes enough power to haul this bulky SUV with ease. The turbo V6 is more than robust enough for easy highway passing and towing large loads, twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 and a 10-speed automatic transmission in the quest for better fuel economy. Despite its smaller engine, it's far from fuel efficient and proved unexpectedly thirsty during our real-world highway testing. Interior Standard features include 20-inch aluminum wheels, a Revel stereo, Ford’s Sync 3 multimedia system, navigation and heated second-row captain’s chairs. The larger Navigator L offers considerably more cargo room behind the third-row seat, and the SUV’s 450-hp V-6 has more than enough power to move the Navigator with ease. The standard-wheelbase Navigator has 19.3 to 20.9 cubic feet of space behind the third row, depending on how the seats are positioned. Space behind the second row also varies according to seat position, falling between 57.5 and 63.6 cubic feet. Folding down the second and third rows opens up 103 cubic feet of space.
