Music Generation 2022 - Highlights To celebrate the end of another whirl around the sun we've compiled a selection of performances, musical celebrations and meaningful moments from 2022 that show the real power of music-making to transform lives. Original songs from young musicians in Music Generation Wicklow and Music Generation Cork City form the soundtrack to this video reel. Track 1: Florence Road’s song “Another Seventeen” was written and recorded during Music Generation Wicklow Recording and Mentorship Summer Programme. Track 2: “No Worries” is a track written and recorded by 'Misneach', six young female singer/songwriters as part of The Kabin Studio programme in Music Generation Cork City. Music Generation is Ireland’s National Music Education Programme that gives children and young people access to high-quality, subsidised performance music education. Initiated by Music Network, Music Generation is co-funded by U2, The Ireland Funds, the Department of Education and Local Music Education Partnerships (LMEPs) in which Education and Training Board and Local Authorities play a lead role.
