Craft Demonstration Cum Awareness Programme | ITI BUDGAM | 23 November 2023

ITI Budgam in collobration with Handicraft service centre Srinagar, Office of Development commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of textiles GOI today organised a Craft demonstration cum awareness programme in ITI Budgam . The programme aimed to enhance awareness about career opporunities in traditional heritage skills and simultaneously arouse the love and empathy for our rich handicrafts heritage among student community . The historic, cultural and economic importance of Handicrafts and it's imbibition in the targeted audience was also highlighted . Live demonstration by Master Craftsmen of different crafts with active participation of students was major catch of the program. Further prototypes of different crafts were displayed for students to gain first hand experience and appreciation. Such awareness programmes aimed at revival of interest and appreciation of artistic acumen of our incredible crafts in young buds.
