BARANGAY OF GIANT FISH - Philippines Remote Island Roads and Villages (Calayan/Babuyan)

WE REACHED THE GIANT BLUE MARLIN CAPITAL OF CALAYAN/BABUYAN ISLANDS! What a cool and intense motor to the north coast of Calayan Island. The muddy dirt track road sometimes shifts to sand and simply disappears into sandy beach. We followed the coast through very rural fishing sitios... and eventually hit the "Welcome to Dilam" sign. Doesn't surprise me there are giant Blue Marlin on the sign. Just go to the local "Talipapa" (there were two), and you will find giant freezers packed with this type of fish. Sometimes they are over 200kg in size! The freezer we looked at was full... but only four pieces made it so! In this video we also explore Barangay Dibay, a beautiful area full of corn and powerful coastal views! There is even a section of red rocks, with an absolutely stunning coastline and cave. Calayan Island in the Babuyan Marine Corridor is incredible!
