Locals have called this the "secret beach" of Point Dume in Malibu as it doesn't even show up on Google Maps. This is a great beach, especially in winter as the blue whales migrate past here in February and come with in 20'-30' of the beach at times to roll in the sand bars to remove their barnacles. #malibu #california #beach There are also the bluffs above where you can walk multiple trails and if you climb through the rocks at low tide where I climbed up, you can cross over to Pirates Cove and see where they filmed the famous "Planet of the Apes" final scene. Love this beach. Was always one of my favorites when I lived in LA. One of the few where you can avoid the crowds. Plenty of wild life here. Always see dolphins, whales and one particular seal.
