Approach anxiety is a fabricated concept constructed by the industry that was designed to give guys a better understanding of how they were feeling before they cold approach. I know...because I was their when the idea was created! But as time has gone on, I do feel now that the concept of approach anxiety is becoming more of a hinderance than helpful. Guys are instantly claiming they have approach anxiety before they've even done anything, or even tried. If you are struggling to talk to any person, then you have 'social anxiety' not approach anxiety. Just because you can talk to some people and not others has nothing to do with approach or social anxiety. Instead, consider that you're just not used to seeing or talking to a level of beauty you're used to, and you need to be desensitised to it to be more acceptable of it. So remember, approach anxiety isn't real, social anxiety is. If you have social anxiety then you struggle to talk with anyone new in a social environment. If your anxiety is selective, then its more of an issue that you need exposure therapy to beauty, so it doesn't bother you anymore. Approach anxiety is nothing more than a limiting belief to use as an excuse to not talk to someone you're attracted to.
