Pakistan has violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. This marks the first such breach by Pakistan since Operation Sindoor, which occurred in May. According to reports, Pakistani troops initiated unprovoked firing, targeting the Kshatriya post of the Indian Army. A journalist at the scene reported that "almost 15 to 20 rounds of small arms fire which was retaliated in equal measure by the Indian army." The timing of the incident was noted as August 5th.
