This weekend we explored Seminole Canyon State Park & Historic Site and wanted to share this very beautiful & unique Texas State Park. Seminole Canton lies on the eastern edge of the West Texas desert region east of the Pecos River in Val Verde County. The park is part of the larger Seminole Canyon Archeological District on the National Register of Historic Places. Seminole Canyon holds so much Texas History dating back ten thousand years ago during the Holocene era when mammoth animals would have also inhabited the area. You can explore rock paintings, caves by guided tour, camping, hiking, biking and so much more!
