There are a lot of people on the market wanting to get this card with its brand new design that is made out of 25% metal from a retired Boeing 747, so I figured this was a perfect time to do a review of the Delta Reserve card as a whole so you can see if this card is worth it for you to get. To start, this card comes with a welcome bonus of 100k bonus miles after spending $5,000 in the first 3 months which is double what it was a little bit ago. At a 1.3cpp evaluation, this welcome bonus is worth $1,300 in free travel. This card also earns 3x miles on Delta flights and 1x back everywhere else. In addition, it comes with a ton of travel benefits, but the main benefit is that it comes with an annual companion certificate after you renew your card after 12 months which gives you a domestic round trip flight in first class, Delta Comfort Plus, or the main cabin just for holding the card. It also gives you access to arguably the best lounges out there including the Centurion Lounge, Delta Sky Club, and the Escape Lounges. Finally, this card comes with a ton of different insurances on car rentals, checked baggage, carry-on baggage, trip delays, trip cancellations, cell phone protection, return protections, purchase protections, and extended warranty protection. This is all great but who is this card really good for? I would say people who want a high-end travel card but not necessarily one like the Amex Platinum, someone looking for lounge access to some of the top lounges out there, or people who are looking for a collectors card. On the other hand, you maybe shouldn't get this card if you don’t travel with Delta often and don’t want to start using them, you already have a premium travel card and are happy with the credits and benefits on them, you don’t want a premium card right now, or you are right under 5/24 and are looking for more chase cards In the end, I also share a strategy for people who are looking to get this card because they really like the look of it but aren't sure if they will keep it long-term, but you'll have to watch the video to see that!
