Today's video is a quick walk through for a project recently completed in the Can Fit workshop, this BA Fairlane based on the BA Falcon is the crown jewel of mid 2000's luxury! First a quick history lesson; Made popular in the 60's and 70's in Australia the longer wheelbase "fairlane" and opposing brand's "Statesman" were great touring vehicles for families and business people alike. The large rear leg room and cargo area made them very versatile in the era before SUV's This fine example finished in an ice mint has had some tinkering already done with an FPV Boss 290 V8, FPV interior conversion, Brembo brake upgrade and Simmons wheels it definitely looks the part! Our job? To install a banging stereo complete with the brand new Aerpro Facia kit that allows you to change out the mid 2000's tech for something more modern now including Apple CarPlay and android auto connectivity while retaining the factory A/C and vehicle controls. Paired to this is now a full Alpine front and rear set of speakers, amplifier, custom made subwoofer box, 2x 12 in subs and an air bag suspension kit for adjustment of the rear ride height. All of this in a boot that still has plenty of room for luggage, its easy to see why these were the ideal family holiday hauler!
