Brewing Beer from Glacier Ice - Steindalsbreen hike in Lyngen Alps Norway - NORTH & BEYOND Ep. 1

All the way up in the North of Norway, far beyond the polar circle - I am brewing a unique IPA beer. Maybe it actually is the first beer ever made from glacial ice. I am hiking in the thrilling nature of the Lyngen Alps to harvest extremely old ice from the glacier Steindalsbreen. After I carried down 25 kg of ice blocks in my backpack I started melting and filtering the ice down by the Fjord. Some days later I brew an American IPA with the cleaned glacial water. To make this project even more complicated, I decided to let the bottled beers mature in an old ship wreck on the Arctic Ocean. This took place in Episode 3 - watch it if you like.
