This is a partial recording of the 2025 edition of the Australian Human Rights Commission's annual Kep Enderby Memorial Lecture. For the full recording, please go here: • 2025 AHRC Kep Enderby Memorial Lecture | F... In 2025, the Commission commemorated 50 years since the passage of Australia’s Racial Discrimination Act. For this year's lecture, Race Discrimination Commissioner Giridharan Sivaraman delivered the keynote address, followed by a dynamic panel discussion on the legal and policy reforms needed to address racism across workplaces as well as the education and justice sectors. Our panel featured: • Sally McManus, Secretary, Australian Council of Trade Unions • Jeswynn Yogaratnam, Commissioner, Northern Territory Anti-Discrimination Commission • Nareen Young, Associate Dean (Indigenous Leadership & Engagement), Professor Indigenous Policy, UTS Business School, Jumbunna Institute The lecture spotlighted racism in workplaces and explored its structural and often invisible nature. It demonstrated how legal and policy reform can drive meaningful change, guided by the roadmap provided by the Commission's National Anti-Racism Framework.
