THAI AIRWAYS B 777-2D7 HS-TJD BANGKOK – SEOUL KIMPO SEPTEMBER 23, 1997 This video features the return flight from a business trip back from Bangkok to Seoul Kimpo onboard Thai Airways B 777-2D7 HS-TJD “Mukdahan”. Upon approach in Seoul I was stopped filming by a very nasty Australian cabin attendant by physical force using rude language. Nevertheless, filming the approach over the city of Seoul in gorgeous morning light is a simple must. Almost 20 years later it is official : Using videos cameras without transmitting radio waves during all phases of flight never posed nor ever will pose any threat to inflight safety. However, also this flight was taped with the very first generation of video cameras with digital recording on mini DV cassettes. There were neither stabilizing nor focusing features available at that time. I therefore apologize for the poor video quality and hope that you still can capture the feeling of what it was like to fly in the 90s.
