On Saturday, in South Wales, Ex-GWR Castle No. 7007 'Ogmore Castle' is seen hauling the Timeline Rail 'The Red Dragon' railtour from Bristol Temple Meads to Swansea and return, with Class 67 No. 67003 bringing up the rear. This marked an important date, as June 12th marked 60 years since the last 'Red Dragon' on Saturday 12th June 1965. Ogmore Castle is also located on its westbound route, in Bridgend. The train is seen at Pontyclun, Bridgend, and climbing the 1 in 90 gradient through Skewen on the final approach to Swansea. Meanwhile, far to the south, Ottery Preservation Society Ex-GWR Hall No. 4962 'Ragley Hall' made its debut on the weekly 'Dawlish Donkey' service, carrying a 'Torbay Express' headboard. It's seen working the first departure from Exeter at Exeter St Thomas, Starcross, departing Dawlish Warren, departing Newton Abbot and climbing the 1 in 110 gradient at Kingkerswell. On Sunday, the North Somerset Railway operated an unusual variant of their Yellow Timetable, with Ex-GWR 4300 No. 5312 and BR Standard 4MT Tank No. 80067 doubleheading the combined 7 coach train. The pair are seen departing Mells Road and at Leonards Mill Crossing, running round at Frome Market and then heading back to Radstock at the crossing, and past Conduit Hill Sidings having summited the 1 in 48 Hapsford Bank.
