As a constant presence in Atticus’s life, the sea finds its way into his compositions as a metaphor for the ever-shifting tides of our relationship with the world. Inspired by artists such as Ben Howard, Fleet Foxes, and John Smith, Atticus uses fingerstyle techniques and alternate tunings to build the foundations of his sound. Born in Cornwall, Atticus’s passion for the sea started at an early age before moving to Devon to study oceanography at the University of Plymouth, and finally settling on the South Coast in Bournemouth.
