Tutorial Tuesday #44 "A Rocky Mountain Spring" by Kaylee Rakowski

Hey All! Welcome back to the studio for this week's episode of #tutorialtuesday - "A Rocky Mountain Spring" I love the mountains in the spring. The way the snow glistens as it melts on the steep slopes. Further down the canyon, crisp new growth and sprouts dance as the sun finally hits the rich soil and heats up the air. Today we harness the refreshing mountain air and paint a fun reflection. Trial and error - as usual so hang out and enjoy my process of painting this wet on wet oil painting. If you would like to join me you will want to be sure to have the following paints: Pallet: Liquid White TItanium White Indian Yellow Bright Red Alizarin Crimson Phthalo Green Phthalo Blue Dark Sienna Van Dyke Brown I always start with a thin even coat of liquid white, and I like to apply this with a foam brush. Otherwise I am using mostly Bor Ross Brushes and my favorite small tool the Magic Red and Black Sable Brushes. They need to be real hair - but they really work amazingly for soft blending with these thick paints. By following along with me you will start to feel the difference of a quality tool.
