SUMMARY: More than 80% of the world is affiliated with a religion. In the name of religion, people can build something beautiful or destroy it without mercy. This observation raises significant questions regarding how these belief systems affect mental health. It also challenges us to consider the role of mental health providers in understanding the impact of this. How do one's religious and spiritual beliefs and practices influence their well-being and susceptibility to depression and suicide? What is faith maturity, and how does it affect one’s mental health or their risk for depression and suicide, especially in individuals with psychiatric conditions? Should mental health professionals pay attention to faith maturity? PRESENTER: G.
