No matter how much money a country has, none have the futuristic feel of Dubai. Whether it's rotating skyscrapers or flying trains, some things can only be found in Dubai. 1. Aladdin City Consisting of three towers resembling lamps, each with 30 floors, this complex includes office space, hotels, and parking. Each building is connected by serpentine bridges with air conditioning and moving walkways. 2. Museum of the Future The nine-story building is shaped like an eye, representing our vision of the future. It features an auditorium, food and beverage stands, and six floors of exhibitions showcasing everything from climate change innovations to smart city inventions and artificial intelligence. It may seem contradictory, but the museum of the future is a reality. 3. Burj Khalifa At 828 meters tall, with 163 floors, it is the tallest skyscraper in the world. It also boasts the longest elevator ride, the most floors, the highest observation deck, and the highest inhabited floor. 4. Hyperloop Dubai proposes building a high-speed rail link to Mumbai under the Arabian Sea, a total distance of 1,862 km. The train will cover this distance in approximately 2 hours, at about 580 miles per hour. The trains will travel in underwater tunnels suspended by a network of floating platforms. So now we can get seasick on trains too... 5. Burj Al Arab The world's first 7-star hotel. This sail-shaped hotel sits on its own man-made island. It has 202 rooms ranging from $2,000 to $24,000 per night. 6. Dynamic Tower 420 meters tall, with 80 floors arranged around a central column that allows each floor to rotate independently. Occupants will choose the speed and direction of rotation. A 360-degree turn will take 90 minutes. 7. Dubai Creek Tower Currently under construction, the Dubai Creek Tower is estimated to be 1,300 meters tall. The building will include 10 observation decks, some of which will rotate, offices, residences, restaurants, and sky gardens inspired by the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. 8. Man-Made Islands Whether it's the Palm Jumeirah, the World Map, or the recently added Seahorse Island, perhaps one of Dubai's most iconic features is its man-made islands. These icons don't come cheap, though; the Palm Jumeirah alone cost over $12 billion. 9. The Dubai Frame To showcase everything we've mentioned, Dubai built "The Dubai Frame." Resembling a picture frame, this 150-meter-tall structure is designed so that looking through one side reveals modern Dubai, while looking through the other side reveals traditional Dubai. It's an elaborate way for Dubai to keep its roots in mind.
