We finally made the trip up to Mammoth for the first time and found an amazing campsite near June Lake, California. After a 5–6 hour drive from Los Angeles, we rolled into the Eastern Sierra, not knowing if our spot would be taken. Luckily, we scored an epic site with insane views. The weekend had a little bit of everything — 🔥 campfire dinners (shoutout to Jeremy the camp chef), ⛰️ early morning hikes, 🚴‍♂️ a surprise triathlon blocking parking, 💦 swimming in the crystal-clear waters of June Lake, 🍕 decent pizza, one of the worst margaritas ever 🍻 and finishing off at a local brewery. June Lake really does feel like a slice of Switzerland, only 5 hours north of Los Angeles. From ghostly surprises at camp to relaxing on floaties at dog beach, this trip had some of our best camping memories yet.
