The Congress-JD(S) coalition in Karnataka is in deep trouble after 13 MLAs submitted their resignation. In total, 10 MLAs of Congress and 3 MLAs of JDS sumbitted their resignation to the chamber of Assembly Speaker Ramesh Kumar. All rebel MLAs have arrived in Mumbai and are staying at Sofitel hotel in the city. While Chief Minister, H.D Kumaraswamy is confident of saving his government, the Congress accused BJP of poaching its legislatures. BJP has distanced itself from the crisis. But its Mumbai youth wing chief, Mohit Kamboj was spotted at the Sofitel hotel. Meanwhile, protests have erupted against the dissenting MLAs in their constituencies.
