The Kendra Gale Band performs "Hold Me Close"

The Kendra Gale Band, based out of Southern New Brunswick, have been kicking and screaming their way around the Atlantic Provinces, Quebec and Ontario performing at house concerts, nightclubs, showcases and festival stages for several years. This dynamic and diverse blues/rock duo packs a punch! Kendra Gale's full and powerful vocals and riffy guitar style is driven by Warren Beatteay's hard-hitting, groove-based drums that both combine to project a full sound, all while playing their own style of rockin' music.   After winning CBC Galaxie Rising Star in 2013, the KGB was nominated for “Best Blues Recording of the Year” at the East Coast Music Awards in 2014 for "The Kendra Gale Band" and again in 2015 for the second CD, "Carousel". The two have been busy playing in front of audiences while writing and preparing their third CD, aptly named "Kicking and Screaming". They were fortunate to record at Lakewind Sound Studios near Sydney, Nova Scotia and work with Mike "Shep" Shepphard, who engineered it. By recording all 16 new tracks in single takes, live off the floor with very few over-dubs, their goal was to capture the sound and feel of their live performances. They look forward to sharing it with you!   We were fortunate to have them in to chat with “Miramichi Songwriters” Host Terry Whalen and play some tunes during our taping at Whalen's Barn!
