Kolkata Police, Indian Army In Tense Standoff After Traffic Violation Incident

An Indian Army vehicle was intercepted by the Kolkata Traffic Police, escalating into a tense situation. The incident occurred this morning near the Writers' Building when the army vehicle allegedly violated traffic rules by taking a prohibited right turn. It is also alleged that the vehicle was driving recklessly in front of a convoy carrying Kolkata Police Commissioner Manoj Verma. Following a report to the nearest traffic guard, officers on duty stopped the vehicle. This event follows a face-off between the state-ruling Partisan Congress and the Indian Army the previous day.
