Day 2 rehearsal with the Morgan State University Joint Concert Band / Magnificent Winds as we continue working on “Simple Gifts” by Frank Ticheli. In this session, you’ll hear noticeable growth from our previous rehearsal. There are minimal mistakes compared to Day 1, intonation is improving, tone quality is more focused, and the overall ensemble sound is continuing to develop. Balance and blend are becoming more refined as the group listens more intentionally across sections. This video serves as an instructional listening tool for the class. The purpose is for members to listen back critically, develop stronger ensemble awareness, and continue strengthening the ears of the group. Self-evaluation is a key part of our rehearsal process, and recordings like this help us grow both individually and collectively. Proud of the progress so far — more refinement to come! 🎶
