Today I’m gonna tell you about new products at JSC webshop. We introduced plastic rods made out of white styrene. Six different kinds. They look like this. From 0,5 mm to 2 mm thickness. We have been using them building our models for years and we like them very much. We use them to replace the booms (which were originally made of metal wire), or short masts We use them to build windlasses/winches, bollards I’ve got some models here I’m gonna show you how those rods look on our models. Let’s start with the Californian, it’s first in line All the booms are made of styrene, it’s very easy to paint, very easy to cut windlasses/winches also all the small tubes that are difficult to roll out of paper or difficult to cut out of metal wire very easy to cut them out of styrene with a craft knife, very quick, very clean cut Here is the Carpathia. All the booms are made of styrene rod. Also all the windlasses/winches Let’s start from this side All windlasses/winches and other small pieces are made of styrene. Another interesting fact is that those rods can be sanded. Here is the Carlot model built by the modeler who build test models for us. This model’s got also those rods which have been sanded. I’m gonna show you in this video how to do that. You can also drill little holes in those rods. This is the Meringa model. In this model there is the styrene rod with a hole drilled into it. This is model built by myself, so not the best quality. but I hope you can see it. Wide rod on the bottom, the hole drilled in it and narrow rod slid into the bottom one. I drilled the hole downward vertical. Apart from styrene rods, we restocked some craft tools: twezzers back in stock straight point tweezers curved point tweezers, my absolutely favourite ones, I love them metal needle for scoring and folding card craft knifves perfect for cutting styrene rods ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Social media: Facebook: jsc.pl   / jscpl-119986.  .
