Practice / Qualifying: Not included in the video but still worth mentioning. I came into this round with a lot of confidence after R7. Noticed the kart was on new front tyres and initially things felt okay — running as high as P2 early on. Unfortunately, I spun at the penultimate corner after hitting a bump the wrong way, and later had a shunt into the barriers at T3. From that point on, the kart didn’t quite feel like something I could lean on with full confidence compared to last round. Ended qualifying in P5. Shootout Sprint: Starting on the inside line (not ideal in these conditions). Lost out to McKenzie after T1, dropping to P6, then had a small moment into T7 later in the lap which dropped me to P8 — not the start I wanted. Kept my head down and managed to recover back to P5, which is where I’d start the final. Final: Started P5, again on the inside line, and once again lost out to McKenzie off the start (lol). He later let me by, didn’t need to do that at all and I really appreciated it, especially given how hard and risky overtaking was in these conditions. I then pushed on to try and catch Tobi in P4. The gap was fluctuating lap by lap before I made a mistake into T4 and shunted into the barriers (dopey). It caught me out as the snap came quite late — but that’s the beauty of these conditions. Recovered to finish P6 overall but P5 in class, which I’ll take. Season Summary: A really fun and valuable season overall. Big thanks to all the drivers and staff for running a brilliant championship. Finished P7 in the standings, only 22 points off P4, very close in the end. Learned a lot, especially in conditions I’m not naturally comfortable in, but ones I needed to face to progress. The new season starts on 22nd February, moving from winter into spring running. Really looking forward to it — dry running would be ideal pls, British weather gods 🙏 Thanks for watching!
