Seven Rivers Crossing (Short Feature Film)

Seeking retreat to a remote winter cabin for time alone, a couple encounters a troubled lost man who may be harboring a dark secret that triggers something within them. Before realizing I'm a lot better writer than director, I took on this this relatively short feature film I directed back in January of 2004. This film has many flaws, mostly mistakes made by myself, but I cut myself some slack as we shot it over about 5 short days, in the cold and snow, including two locations we had to ski into to reach while dealing with harsh conditions. The entire crew was about 6 people, with three doing most of the heavy lifting. There are only 3 people in the cast (plus one extra you'll see). Their work was definitely commendable, certainly exceeding my efforts. This film was inspired by Roman Polanski's classic film Knife on the Water, Charles Williams Dead Calm, as well as Ernest Hemingway's Big Two-Hearted River. This film stars Ina Strauss, Brian Young and Galen McMahon, who also helped at times as crew.
