Welcome back to Part 02 of our Malacca Ladies Getaway! This episode is filled with laughter, good food, spontaneous fun — and an unexpected emotional twist at the end. 🍽️ Authentic Kampung Dinner We had an amazing meal at Assam Pedas Lauk Kampung — the flavours were so nostalgic, and it’s been ages since I’ve had real kampung-style dishes! 🎡 Bazaar Night Walk & Iconic Trishaw Ride After dinner, we crossed the road to explore the lively night bazaar. We couldn’t resist hopping onto the iconic Malacca trishaw — and honestly, we were laughing like little kids the whole ride! It’s truly a must-do experience here. 🛍️ Shopping & Strolling We continued exploring other parts of the bazaar while hunting for a T-shirt for my son and trying to make our way to the Malacca riverside. We got the T-shirt but were too exhausted to continue, so we headed back to our hotel. 🌅 Next Morning Plans… Cut Short We planned to check out early, visit the riverside and enjoy some chendol before heading back to Singapore. But everything changed when I received a message from my son early morning on 17 Sept — my mom was suddenly admitted to the hospital. 😔 A Sudden Change of Plans In shock, we cancelled our 2:15pm bus and took an earlier 11:30am ride instead. My plans to film Ibis Hotel’s breakfast buffet and hotel tour had to be dropped — I just couldn’t focus. 🏥 Homebound & Headed to A&E We reached Singapore around 5pm+ and I immediately went to Tan Tock Seng A&E where my mom was admitted. I was relieved to be back, but sad that our trip ended so abruptly. 💭 Reflections We can always return to Malacca and continue where we left off. But moments with our loved ones? Those are not guaranteed.
