#pavakkatheeyal #veenascurryworld Authentic Kerala Dishes with my personal Touch 😍 U Can contact me here 👇 [email protected] - Mail id / veenascurryworld - Instagram • Ulli Theeyal| ഉള്ളി തീയൽ|Kerala Special Pe... - Ulli Theeyal • Kerala Style Vendakka/Ladies Finger Theeya... - Vendakka Theeyal Ingredients Pavakka-1 Grated Coconut-6tbsp Coriander Powder -1tbsp or Coriander seeds-1 1/2tbsp Fenugreek seeds-10 or fenugreek powder -less than 1/4tsp Dry red chilli-4 or Chilli Powder -1tsp Curry leaves- Turmeric powder-1/4tsp Asafoetida Powder-2pinch Small Onion-5-6 Grated Jaggery or sugar- 1tsp (opt) Salt- Tamarind-gooseberry size Water-2cup Coconut Oil-2tbsp coconut pieces -1tbsp (opt) For Seasoning Coconut Oil-2tbsp Mustard seeds-1/4tsp Method Soak tamarind in one glass of hot water and keep aside.. Wash and cut pavakka into medium pieces .. u can soak for 1/2 hour in tamarind water or vinegar to reduce the bitterness .. and strain and then wipe with kitchen tissue..keep aside .Heat oil add coconut ,curry leaves and green chilli roast it till the golden colour ,reduce the flame add all the powders except asafoetida ,roast and grind to fine paste when cooled .. Keep aside Heat oil in a kadai splutter mustard seeds and curry leaves ,then shallow fry pavakka ,green chilli, coconut and small onion for 2 to 3 minutes in medium flame.. To this add tamarind water (strain the water ) .. Boil for5 minutes .. Then add ground paste and add enough water and mix well..Then add salt and allow to boil for 5 minutes .. Now add grated jaggery .. If u don’t like u can avoid jaggery Check the taste .. Add salt if needed..So allow to cook for 15 minutes or until cook well..Consistency should medium thick..After cooling it will become more thick..Then add asafoetida powder and curryleaves.
