Welcome to my channel! This is Andy from I love languages. Let's learn different languages/dialects together. Special Thanks to Tsilin Fan :) Ni3 hao3! Ngo3 jiao4 Andy. Ni3 lang3 go4 yang4? Hello! My name is Andy. How are you? Let's talk about the Changshou Mandarin dialect. Changshou Mandarin Changshou Mandarin belongs to Southwestern Mandarin and is a dialect under the Sinitic languages of the Sino-Tibetan language family. It is also a dialect within the Chongqing municipality. Because Changshou is an immigrant region, Changshou Mandarin may have different accents depending on different places and immigrant sources. For example, there are different phonetic features south and north of the Yangtze River. This dialect has highly similar features to the main urban area of Chongqing, but it also has some of its own characteristics. For example, there are more vocabulary and phonetic features from Hunan, Jiangxi, Hubei and other places. With the strengthening of China's foreign trade relations, modern Changshou Mandarin has also added many vocabulary from Mandarin, English, Cantonese and other languages and dialects. Changshou Geographical Environment, People and Culture Changshou is located in the Sichuan Basin in southwestern China. The terrain here is mostly mountainous and river valleys, and the climate is also humid and warm. But because there is very little flat land here, Changshou people built their cities on the slopes near the Yangtze River. Changshou people have relied on the Yangtze River for their livelihood since ancient times, which has led to the formation of a unique dock culture in the area. As a result, the local people have a very strong character and are also very hospitable. Local cuisine belongs to Sichuan cuisine, which is characterized by various tastes, such as Changshou Mifen and Xuedoufu, which are representative local dishes. With the construction and development of cities, Changshou now has many modern buildings, but ancient buildings such as Sandaoguai Ancient Street, Dinghui Temple, and Bodhi Temple are still preserved in the city. In summary, this is a very beautiful small city in eastern Sichuan. This video is created for educational, language awareness, and language preservation purposes.
