Ssemujju Isima, also known as Sound Man Omumpi (The Short Soundman), is a dynamic sound recordist, mixer, and arts management consultant with a passion for bringing stories to life through sound. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Drama and Film from Makerere University, a Diploma in Audio- Visual Storytelling from the Africa Movie Academy, and a Certificate in Festival Management from the European Festival Academy, he has built a strong foundation in the creative industry. His expertise extends beyond technical sound recording to production and stage management, ensuring seamless performances on set and stage. Isima has worked on several high-profile projects, including Sixteen Rounds, The Village Next to Paradise, Tembere, Don’t Mess with Kansiime, MTN MoMo Nyabo, Mpeke Town 2, Sanyu, Damalie, Mizigo Express, and The Honorables among other productions. His ability to capture pristine sound and create immersive audio experiences has made him a sought-after professional in the industry. Beyond sound, Isima is deeply invested in arts management, festival coordination, events technical directing, and producing for film. He has attended numerous masterclasses in sound design, film business, directing for theatre, film producing, production management, screen acting, and festival management, further refining his skills and expanding his impact. Passionate about empowering performers, Isima finds fulfillment in creating an environment where actors and artists can deliver their best work with confidence and ease. His goal is to elevate sound and production standards in film, TV, and theatre, ensuring that every project he touches resonates with audiences at the highest level.
