We started out with a simple plan… just remove the bumper on our 1957 Chevy 210 wagon. But as usual, one thing led to another. Before long the engine and transmission were out, parts were everywhere, and the project escalated fast. Then we hit another problem… where do you put an engine when you don’t have an engine stand? Time to hit the scrap pile. After digging through a few “treasures,” I managed to build a homemade engine/transmission stand for under $10 in materials. It’s stout, it’s on wheels, and honestly it’s stronger than a lot of the cheap ones you find online. Meanwhile, the wifey jumps in and gives a couple old gas cans a fresh coat of paint so we can repurpose them as door stops—and they turned out awesome. All in all, this episode is packed with creativity, problem solving, and plenty of laughs. Love to have ya'll join in on our adventures.
