I don’t even know how to explain what this experience meant to me, but I’m going to try. “Briefly a Seagull” was my first exhibition in Vienna, and walking into that room felt like stepping into a moment I’ve been quietly hoping for without ever saying it out loud. I looked around and realized my art is here, I’m here. And people are actually seeing me. Not just the work me.🥺💕 There was something almost magical about being surrounded by exchange students from all over the world. Different languages, different lives, different ways of seeing… but somehow we all fit into the same space, sharing pieces of ourselves through our art. It made the room feel alive. And then there were the conversations unexpected ones with strangers who suddenly weren’t strangers anymore. People who stood in front of my work and felt something enough to talk to me about it. I didn’t think that would move me the way it did, but it honestly did. It made me feel connected in a way I haven’t felt in a long time. The title of the exhibition, “Briefly a Seagull,” felt strangely perfect. That’s exactly what the whole experience felt like I lifted off the ground for a moment, like everything was lighter, like I was allowed to fly just a little.
