This time Mama takes us shopping in an Australian supermarket and introduces some items that make good Aussie souvenirs for friends and family while also introducing some of the differences between Japan and Australia. Mama visited Woolworths, fondly called “Woolies” by the locals, with newlyweds Britt and Simon. Of course, it is possible to buy souvenirs at the airport and gift shops, but you can also pick up some great items (and cheaper!) at the local supermarket. As the cost of living is a bit higher in Australia, finding affordable items is key to sharing your trip to Oz with everyone! We all recommend visiting the local supermarket for all visitors to Australia - tourists, working holidayers, international students - as a great place to get a feel for the cultural differences. Check out our bilingual family conversations as we switch between languages. Please like and subscribe so you never miss a video about our family, 3 daughters, international marriage, British Hills and other sites around the Hatoriko Highlands in Fukushima, and more! And of course, please leave a comment down below! We would love to hear from you. ーClick below to subscribeー Global family in FUKUSHIMA|グローバルファミリーイン福島 / @globalfamilyinfukushima --Follow us on Instagram!-- @globalfamilyinfukushima --Like our page on Facebook!-- / globalfamilyinfukushima ーRecommended videos from other creatorsー ●Popular YouTuber That Japanese Man Yuta did a “day in the life” video of our family ーThat Japanese Man Yutaー Day in the life of a Bilingual Family in Japan • Day in the life of a Bilingual Family... #Australia #souvenirs #overseastravel ーContentsー 00:00 An Australian supermarket 00:36 To Woolworths with the happy couple 01:08 Fruits bought by the kilogram 02:33 Choose your own meat and fish 03:27 Turkey mince and Aussie bacon 04:07 Mama loves lots of foods that are hard to get in Japan 05:00 Buying in Australian souvenirs in the supermarket 05:10 ① Spreads (vegemite etc) 05:19 ② Aussie honey (including manuka honey) 05:44 ③ Tim Tams (flavors you can’t get in Japan) 06:11 ④ Mint Slice (choc mint) 06:27 ⑤ Australian Afternoon Tea (has “Australia” on the box) 06:54 ⑥ T2 tea (so many varieties 07:27 ⑦ Arnott’s biscuits 08:10 ⑧ Ginger beer (non-alcoholic) 08:35 ⑨ Musk sticks (a unique flavour) 08:46 ⑩ Caramello Koalas (koalas are cute) 09:12 ⑪ Favourites (mixed box of chocolates) 09:30 ⑫ Cheezels, Twisties, Burger Rings (salty and savoury snacks) 09:56 ⑬ Koala-shaped heat bags 10:06 So many type of flavoured milk 10:32 Medications are also sold in supermarkets 10:59 So many kinds of bread 11:17 Cereal with no added sugar is the norm 11:32 Krispy Kreme Donuts for sale at the register 11:40 Supermarket registers are different to Japan 12:40 ⑭ Woolworths eco bags (popular online?) 12:46 What is fruit like in Japan? 13:10 ⑮ Dollar store Aussie goods1ドルショップ 13:37 You can buy medical items without a pharmacist 13:53 Please like & subscribe, and follow us on Instagram and Facebook! ーBGMー Music Atelier Amacha https://amachamusic.chagasi.com/
