The day before 'Are You Experienced' was released on May 12 1967, Jimi, Mitch Mitchell & Noel Redding were filmed live. The band had been together for seven months and Stone Free was the first song Jimi wrote in London - for the b-side of Hey Joe; it wasn't on the original Are You Experienced album.
