We asked the Lord to give us a song & 4 hours later this song was born. We stand with every honorable officer who fights for all Americans and risks their lives daily to do it, which is the vast majority of the police force. We thank and support their families who know they could lose them at any time as well. It is often a thankless job. Through the makings of this video so many have donated their time to bring this song and music video about. No one in the video is paid and all officers are authentic. We all have a heart to bring unity in our nation and to end the real problem that is not being addressed: crime. A police chief broke down the problems and the solutions for us: The problem is crime and our churches, our families, and our schools are the ones who can bring the solution. Each of us need to honor the law, vote, and live our lives in a way that honors our country and seeks to give back and make it greater instead of tearing it down. Officers enforce the laws of the politicians we all vote in. We must all be a part of the political process of electing men and women who hold godly and American values. We must increase the funding to our police departments and encourage increased training to handle even more efficiently the countless acts of violence they encounter. We had been wanting to sing for the police about a year before our men and women in blue started receiving distain from some of the public. Then we were inspired to write this song and have begun singing it around the country at Back the Blue rallies. We pray this song can lift the hearts of many who have become discouraged. Many great officers have left the police force and it's become harder to recruit as a result of the smears and hostility toward them. We must pray for our police and that God protects and defends them as well. And we must pray for our our American citizens to honor and respect God, the law, and one another.
