Missio Dei | Week 2 | Acts 13:13-52 | “Word of Encouragement” As we continue our subseries in Acts, Missio Dei (Lat. “the sending of God),” we’ll see the Lord work mightily through Paul and Barnabas. Today’s passage demonstrates how God opens doors for those intent on sharing the good news. These itinerant preachers will not back down, but they'll take every opportunity to share the gospel with anyone willing to listen. But as we'll see, the response, while overwhelmingly positive, will meet opposition from a potent minority. So powerful, in fact, that Paul and Barnabas will eventually be run out of town. But rather than lick their wounds, they'll shake the dust from their feet and move on to other opportunities. Though setbacks can be discouraging, they rarely impede a believer’s progress. God is a being of boundless potential. Nothing can stop him, or those committed to the his leading, from accomplishing his mission.
