Part 2 of the Italeri Z.501 build. In this video: Airbrushing primer and basecoat Detail parts assembly and painting Huuuge decals Completed model images For the finish, I chose AK Xtreme metal light aluminium mixed with grey over a pale grey basecoat to represent the painted fabric and wood surfaces. For the natural metal finish areas, I used Mr Color Super Metallic chrome silver to stand out against the rest. I had intended to mask and paint the red stripes on the wings and the tricolour on the tail, however forgot and went too far with the assembly and had to use the decals. Happily, they are Cartograph decals and extremely durable and conform well to the surface, so I'm still happy with the outcome. Have you built this kit?
