How To Reset The INFINITI Flat Tire Warning (Simplified!). In this video tutorial I will show you how to reset the INFINITI flat tire warning. The flat tire warning in your INFINITI is a safety mechanism by the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) that will notify you whenever any of your tire pressure falls below the recommended level. However, this warning light might remain illuminated even after inflating your tires to the recommended pressure. Before proceeding to resets, let’s also look at what can be done to clear the warning: Give time for the warning to clear. • After you’ve inflated your tire and the TPMS warning light is still illuminated, drive your INFINITI at fifty miles per hour or higher speeds for about ten minutes and turn off the car. • This can reset the TPMS sensors the next time you turn the car on, causing the light to clear. Inflate and deflate the tires. • Inflate all your INFINITI tires to about 3 PSI above the recommended pressure, then drain all the pressure from the tires. Ensure to follow your vehicle's manual for specific recommendations, as practices may vary by model. • This should also include the spare wheel, as it may also have a sensor contributing to the malfunctioning TPMS warning light. • After all tires are deflated, re-inflate them again to the recommended pressure. This can also help clear the light. Now, let’s finalize with the Tire Pressure light reset procedure. • With the vehicle turned off, turn its ignition to “ON” without starting the engine. • Next, locate the TPMS reset button and hold-press it until the warning light flashes thrice. • Release the button after the flashes, start the car, and give it some time for the TPMS sensors to recalibrate. If all these fixes do not clear the warning light, you can resort to hard resetting the TPMS system. To do this; • Turn the vehicle off and disconnect the positive battery terminal. • Turn the car on and honk several times. This can help drain residual power that might be remaining in the vehicle, though it may not be required for all models. • After the honks, reconnect the battery. This should reset the TPMS sensors and system at large, clearing the warning light. If the light still doesn’t clear, the TPMS sensors themselves may be malfunctioning or damaged and could need replacement. Contact a qualified technician to diagnose and address the issue.
