Jhudo City Tour in Mirpurkhas District | Bazaar, Streets & Old Railway Station Exploration 2026 Jhudo City Tour: A Hidden Treasure in Mirpurkhas District, Sindh Pakistan! 🌆🏍️ Welcome to my travel Vlog adventure in Jhudo (also known as Jhuddo), a vibrant tehsil town nestled in the heart of Mirpurkhas District, Sindh. As part of my moto vlog series, I revved up my bike to explore this underrated gem, just 30-40 km from Mirpurkhas city—famous as the "City of Mangoes." Jhudo's biography is rich: With a population of around 37,000 (2023 census), it's a hub of Sindhi culture, agriculture, and history dating back to the British Raj era. Coordinates at 24°58′N 69°18′E, it's surrounded by fertile fields and faces seasonal challenges like flooding, but its resilient spirit shines through. In this tour, I start with the bustling bazaar—Jhudo's lively marketplace where locals haggle over fresh produce, spices, traditional ajraks, and daily essentials. It's a colorful chaos of shops like those selling snacks and beverages, with women in vibrant outfits shopping amid the rush. The narrow galiyan (streets) and mohallas (neighborhoods) offer a glimpse into authentic rural life: Mud-brick homes, kids playing, and warm Sindhi hospitality influenced by Sufism and ancient Indus Valley roots. The star attraction? The historic old railway station! Part of the abandoned Jamrao-Pithoro meter gauge loop line from the late 1800s British colonial period, it's now a repurposed landmark symbolizing Jhudo's evolution from a rail outpost to an agricultural center. Though no longer operational, it echoes stories of past migrations and connections to nearby hubs like Hyderabad. Don't miss tying this into Mirpurkhas programs and events! Mirpurkhas hosts vibrant cultural festivals, mango exhibitions (like the annual Mango Festival in June-July), and community programs promoting agriculture and tourism. Jhudo benefits from these, with locals often heading to Mirpurkhas for events that celebrate Sindh's heritage—think folk music, traditional dances, and eco-tourism initiatives. If you're planning a trip, combine Jhudo's tour with Mirpurkhas' programs for a full Sindh experience. Jhudo is perfect for offbeat travelers: Ride through on a moto for that adventurous feel, chat with friendly locals, and soak in the unfiltered Pakistan vibe. Pro tip: Visit in cooler months (October-March) to avoid heat, and explore nearby Mohenjo-daro for ancient history.
