9Lb Hammer cover 9Lb Hammer is a Merle Travis tune that I always liked. One day I had my camera out for a change and decided to record this for future referance. This recording went it my "Record some day" file I keep just for the guitar part thinking I would work on the vocals at a later date. For a long time I didn't think it was worth posting but when I listened to it the other day I thought the guitar work was good enough to post. Finger pickers may appreciate the guitar track. I enjoy arranging and working out my own renditions of my favorite songs, so this isn't played Travis style but it is finger pickin. As a side note my dog Buddy would come over and sit by me during the "Roll on buddy" part. He thought it was about him.
