The Queen Victoria Market is one of my FAVOURITE things about Melbourne. It's got everything and anything you could possibly want out of a big food haul. Fruits, veggies, cheese, meat, seafood, flowers, clothing - you name it. Also, the staff. Everyone is absolutely lovely, kind and welcoming. Nothing better than shopping fresh produce to support local farmers in Victoria. I emphasize the afforability component of the QVM a LOT... that's because it never ceases to amaze me how insane the daily deals are. I used to spent on average $70-80 AUD for a weekly shop at Woolies - and I would still run out of food before the end of the week. At the market, I average $40-50 AUD and that is with a splurge on fancy cheeses from the deli and enough to have leftover ingredients to carry into the new week. Note: this video was filmed in the days between lockdown 4.0 and 5.0. Shed A & B have also been temporarily relocated to Shed C and D for the next few months.
